We are currently experiencing a high volume of free bike requests. You can make a request but fulfillment could be delayed up to four weeks or more. If the volume continues at this rate, we will need to pause new requests. Thank you for your understanding as we work through this backlog.
Pedal Forward - Free Bike Request
Case workers from approved partners can request a free bike from Good Karma Bikes on behalf of their clients.

Requirements:​

Case workers must complete a Free Bike Request.

Clients must be a community member in need by showing proof of government assistance.

Free bike requests are evaluated based on need and availability.

Good Karma Bikes will select the bike based on the rider's size and needs. The client does not select the bike.

There is a limit of one free bike request per year. Clients are advised to keep their bike safe.

Clients and/or the case worker are asked to complete follow up surveys to understand and improve the Free Bike Request program.

Process Steps:

Case workers complete a Free Bike Request form.

Good Karma Bikes will confirm receipt of the request via email in 1-2 days.

Good Karma Bikes will review and approve / reject request and notify the case worker via email in 1 week.

Good Karma Bikes will advise the client via text on the availability of bike, typically within 1 week of approval.

The client will have 1 week to pickup the bike at Good Karma Bikes during shop hours. Bikes not picked up will be returned to inventory for other clients, and the bike request cancelled.
